Lake Tohopekaliga, or Lake Toho as the locals
call it is 16,800 acres and is the northern most
lake on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes. From
the small creeks feeding into this lake, it all
flows south and ends up in Lake Okeechobee and the
Florida Everglades. The average depth of Lake Toho
is approximately 4 to 6 feet deep and is brackish,
stained water. Lake Toho has marsh type shorelines
with plenty of Cattails, Bulrush and Lilly Pads
offering a great spawning area for the Florida
largemouth bass.
